Nick Gordon became the talk of the town again last week when he appeared on the “Dr. Phil Show” to discuss his sobriety and his alleged part in Bobbi Kristina Brown’s mysterious death. But his public appearance may have come back to haunt him because he’s now being accused of profiting from Bobbi’s death.
As previously reported, last year, after Bobbi passed away months after she was found face down and unresponsive in her bathtub, Bobbi’s estate filed a $40 million lawsuit against Gordon, claiming he was abusive, stole money from Bobbi, and that he caused the brain damage that resulted in her death.
Bobbi’s estate claimed in the lawsuit that Gordon gave her a “toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious” before he allegedly “put her face down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage.”
According to Bobbi’s autopsy report, she died from a multitude of causes, including lobar pneumonia due to “Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, delayed effects” and “Immersion of face in water complicating mixed drug intoxication.”
The report also claimed that although she clearly didn’t die of natural causes, it was unclear if she died accidentally or via intentional forces.
Since first being accused last year, Gordon has maintained that he had anything to do with Bobbi’s death. And in his recent interview with Dr. Phil, he explained that he tried to save Bobbi’s life.
However, according to TheJasmineBrand.com, Bobbi’s estate isn’t happy about his latest public appearance and they want a judge to make Gordon cough up money for profiting off of the scandal surrounding Bobbi’s death.
According to the reports, the lawyer representing Bobbi’s estate went to court earlier this week and complained to the judge that Gordon has been unresponsive in the case involving Bobbi’s death for the past seven months. The report claims that the judge previously ordered Gordon to cooperate with Bobbi’s estate, but Gordon hasn’t answered any of their questions because he feels he’s innocent and that the autopsy report proved he had nothing to do with her death.
However, Bobbi’s estate argues that Brown has ignored them and their legal team, but spoken publicly about the details of Bobbi’s death on numerous occasions and the lawyer alleges that Gordon was given a substantial amount of money for his interview with Dr. Phil.
“Mr. Gordon must be held to account in a court of law, nor comfortably in front of a television camera spinning a web of lies,” legal documents in the case read.
Bobbi’s estate is now asking the judge to order Gordon to pay sanctions for his lack of responsiveness to them and for evading their questions in the case.
Well, as many fans have said, it looks like Gordon may come out better if he just avoids the spotlight until the dust settles on this case.
