Three teenagers in Milwaukee could face jail after it was discovered that they live streamed a sex act on Facebook. According to WDJT, the incident occurred with two female (14 and 15) students who attended the Barack Obama School and a teen male, 15, who attended another school.

In January, the two teenage girls skipped school and met with the 15-year-old boy. They eventually engaged in a sex act while live streaming on Facebook. At least four students who attend the Barack Obama School watched the threesome as it was occurring at a location away from the school campus.

Facebook Live was introduced several months ago as a way for members to better engage with each other and was possibly a response to Twitter’s live streaming service, Periscope. However, the new feature has captured several crimes while in progress.

On April 1, a man in Chicago was using the Facebook Live feature when he was shot while filming himself. Two months earlier, a teenager in Miami, Florida posted a video after being shot in a Burger King parking lot. And several days ago, a teenager in Paris, France used Periscope to document her suicide. Following the suicide, some have called for more regulations or brief delays to be implemented with live social media services to prevent such actions. Live streaming on social media provides an outlet for unfiltered content to reach thousands of audience members at a time.

The teenagers who were involved with the sexual act in Milwaukee are currently being investigated by authorities. The girls who were involved could be charged with exposing a child to harmful material. However, the teenage boy who was with the girls during the sex act has yet to be viewed as a suspect.

The girls involved in the video were suspended from school once school officials discovered the video.
