A sunny Sunday afternoon in Atlanta was the perfect setting for the Curvy Fashionista #TCFStyle to successfully usher in their second brunch for the series “Own Your Blog, Brand and Business.” This jam-packed brunch was filled with great food, valuable advice, door prizes, vendors and much more. Kim McCarter, the moderator of the “Own Your Blog, Brand and Business” panel, is a strategic brand coach and creator of “The Cubicle Divorce” challenge. McCarter has been self-employed since December 2015 and loves what she does.
McCarter began the panel discussion by introducing each panelist; starting with Chante Burkett, the owner and head blogger at “Everything Curvy & Chic.” Burkett is Florida-based and the 2016 honoree for “Lifestyle” by Phat Girl Fresh. Ty Alexander from the Gorgeous In Grey blog; Jessica Kane of Society Plus; and Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista, rounded out the panel. McCarter guided the conversation between the panelists and didn’t go the traditional route of preparing questions for the “female-preneurs.”
The branding seminar ended on a great note, leaving the attendees feeling encouraged and excited. Prizes such as seminar retreats, handbags and consultation with Councilman Kwanza Hall were awarded to the audience. The next TCF Style Exposition will be held n August 2016.
