Raven-Symoné has definitely been one of the most talked about co-hosts on “The View” since she became a host. And despite the many controversies she’s sparked on the show with her commentary, Raven always seemed intent on remaining on the show for the long haul. Now, though, reports claim that Raven likely won’t return to the show next season.
As fans of the show know, Raven has stirred up several controversies on the show thanks to her comments on race and politics, which have no doubt garnered major attention for the show, but left many fans with a bad taste in their mouth about Raven.
Just last year, fans began a petition to get Raven kicked off of the show after she commented that she wouldn’t hire anyone with a so-called “ghetto name” like “Watermelondrea.” To date, the petition has amassed nearly 140K signatures.
Well, according to media reports, the controversies haven’t gone unnoticed by producers or Raven and sources say that Raven is ready to say goodbye to “The View” and negative criticism.
“Simply put, she just may be the worst hire in the history of this show,” admitted the source.
And it’s not just Raven who is allegedly leaving. Sources also say that her co-host Michelle Collins plans to leave because her role on the show has been severely diminished to just one appearance a week. The sources also say that Candace Cameron-Bure will leave the show as well to focus on her role on “Fuller House” on Netflix.
The sources say that all three co-hosts will likely announce their departures anywhere between now and mid-July.
Well, neither of the three co-hosts have hinted at or confirmed the rumors of their departures, so we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
