Damon Dash’s son, Damon “Boogie” Dash, reportedly found himself in trouble with the law recently because reports have revealed that the young man was arrested and charged with a DUI.

According to media reports, details on the incident are scarce but law enforcement sources say that Boogie was pulled over sometime earlier this month for straddling and weaving between lines on the road. After the cops pulled Boogie over and began speaking to him, they suspected that he might be under the influence of something so they gave him a field sobriety test.

Sources say that Boogie failed the test and cops decided to arrest him on the spot for a misdemeanor DUI.

Boogie hasn’t publicly spoken about the arrest, only alluding to possibly not being able to drive when he tweeted earlier this month, “waiting for this uber like…”

Unfortunately, this isn’t the “Growing Up Hip-Hop” star’s only run in with the law. Back in 2013, he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and strangulation for allegedly squeezing his then-girlfriend’s neck as they argued in his Chelsea, New York apartment.

According to Boogie’s defense attorney, Gregg Pinto, his girlfriend “came to his apartment uninvited and crashed a party. Then she picked a fight with him and wouldn’t leave when she was repeatedly told to. She then got violent.”

However, according to sources, the compaint alleges that it was Boogie who was the violent one in the altercation, saying that he,”placed both of [his] hands around [her] neck and squeezed tightly.”

Boogie eventually copped a guilty plea deal for the crime and was ordered to take a 12-week anger management course and the judge in the case also issued a two-year limited order of protection that allowed Boogie to contact his girlfriend, but restricted him from harassing or assaulting her.

Well, we hope that this is the last time that Boogie has a run-in with the law and that he stays out of trouble from now on.
