Villa Dallas and Roc Nation Sports hosted Skylar Diggins “Welcome to Dallas” party on last Wednesday. Dallas tastemakers and sports lovers came out in full force to support Diggins, and the Dallas Wings players, including hometown favorite Odyssey Sims and the one only Plenette Pierson. Head coach Fred Williams and his lovely wife Bo Talley got in on the fun as well. The invitation-only event encouraged partyers to wear their favorite jerseys and fly sneaks and the crowd definitely set the bar on athletic fashions.
The evening was full of energy as Diggins’ No. 1 DJ —”Poizon Ivy” — filled the atmosphere with fresh beats and Ciroc and D’ussé kept the signature drinks flowing.
Guests mingled with the Dallas Wings players, shot hoops on the basketball arcade and browsed the enticing sneaker wall display at Villa.
The Dallas Wings is the first WNBA franchise to come to the DFW metroplex. They opened the season at home on May 21 to a sold-out crowd and brought home an 82-77 win.
The Dallas Wings home games are played at College Park Center, on the campus of UT Arlington, however if you are not in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex area, check the schedule at www.wings.wnba.com for more information.
Support the WNBA in your city, it’s a great family outing and exciting to watch.
