Shaunie O’Neal to Ayesha Curry: Be ‘smarter’ [watch]

[jwplatform Gv3KXWGs] On Thursday, July 14, “The Preachers” welcomed “Basketball Wives LA” star, executive producer and co-creator Shaunie O’Neal, and cast mates Jackie Christie and Malaysia Pargo. The NBA wives-turned-reality stars gave their two cents on that now infamous tweet from Ayesha Curry, wife of Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, following an upsetting game 6. “I’ve lost all respect sorry this is absolutely rigged for money,” wrote Curry after her beau fouled out of game 5. “Or ratings. I’m not sure which. I won’t be silent. Just saw it live sry,” she continued. Naturally, the claim struck a chord in fans who felt Curry was a sore loser. So, she deleted the tweet. But that didn’t keep the Twitter trolls from roasting her.

Now, O’Neal has sounded off, slamming Curry over the emotional rant. “I personally…didn’t like her tweet,” O’Neal told “The Preachers”. “I don’t know Ayesha Curry. I feel like that job that her husband has supports a whole lot of people. You know, including her family, his family, what have you. Your husband goes to do a job and to say his job is rigged, is sacrificing a whole lot of folks and their livelihood.” Of course, she wouldn’t be Shaunie without following up with a bit of advice. “You know, I don’t believe in ‘She’s a woman, she’s a wife, be quiet and sit at home.’ I don’t believe in that. I feel like she should express her opinion, just maybe be smarter about it. Was it rigged when your husband was winning, or was it just rigged when he was losing? ‘Cause the tweet only came when he lost. So I just want to know was it rigged … ” Meanwhile, Christie declined to comment saying, “Wooh, I don’t think I better answer this. Shaunie done said it all.” Peep the video above and tell us, what are your thoughts concerning O’Neal’s advice for Curry? Sound off in the comment section below.
