Earlier this year, Kris Jenner turned heads when she revealed that she planned on dropping the name Jenner and going back to being a Kardashian. For fans, the decision seemed to make sense, as the Kardashian name carried more popularity and fame than the Jenner name. However, now it appears that Kris has had a change of heart and she recently explained the sentimental reason she won’t go back to being a Kardashian.
As previously reported, Jenner initially made plans to change her name back in May, just a few weeks after her future daughter-in-law, Blac Chyna, revealed that she was going to change her name to Angela Kardashian. However, the news of Kris’ decision to change her last name didn’t sit well with her daughter Khloe Kardashian, and she ended up getting into an argument with Khloe about it on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
“Why? You haven’t been that in over 24 years,” Khloé said, before Kris fired back with “I was that before you were that. I was the original Kardashian.”
Khloe then tried to guilt her mother by saying she can’t turn her back on the last name that she shares with her youngest daughters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner.
“Keep Kris Jenner,” Khloe insists. “Don’t you think that’s insulting to your two daughters?”
“If Bruce can change his name to Caitlyn, I think I’m good,” Kris fired back.
Well, now it looks like Khloe’s words may have stuck with her mother because, according to media reports, Kris recently revealed that she’s going to keep the Jenner last name out of respect for her youngest girls.
“It happens to be two younger girls who have an amazing dad [Caitlyn Jenner] and I think I’m going to stay right where I am,” Jenner said. “It sounded good for a minute, but I went ‘you just have to respect the relationship of the entire family.”
“I am too busy these days to worry what my last name is,” she added.
Well, we can understand her reasoning and whether she changes her name or not, she’s still the matriarch of one of the most lucrative families in the nation.
