If you thought you’d heard it all, then you do not know the story of a brain named “Freddy.”

According to law enforcement officials in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, a suspect in multiple burglaries in the area was arrested last month is facing new charges after a human brain was found under a trailer park home. According to police, Joshua Lee Long, 26, and a friend kept the brain underneath a trailer park home in a Wal-Mart shopping bag. After Long was arrested his aunt went to clean up the home and discovered the brain and called police.

When she spoke to her nephew in jail, he admitted that the brain was his and that he used it for a grisly purpose. Long and a friend identified as Robbie Lee Zoller, squeezed the embalming fluid out of the brain and put it on marijuana they smoked for an increased high and hallucinogenic effect. The pair had so much fun they named the brain ‘Freddy” and would use it on a regular basis.

The brain was submitted to Cumberland County Coroner Charley Hall for testing who confirmed it was a human brain and more than likely a teaching specimen. Based on this information police recently added the charges of misdemeanor abuse of a corpse and conspiracy to commit abuse of a corpse in addition to burglary.

“At this point now, we’re just trying to figure out where it came from. We’re hoping that if anyone feels like they’re missing a human specimen brain, bring it to our attention and maybe we could return it to its rightful owner,” Pennsylvania state trooper Bob Hicks told the media..

Long is being held at the Cumberland County Prison on $100,000 bail.

Embalming fluid contains the chemical formaldehyde and according to the Office of National Drug Control Policy, it is common for some people to lace marijuana with PCP, embalming fluid or both.
