Countess Vaughn is proving she’s a true “Hollywood Diva.”
Earlier this year, Vaughn took the high road when she apologized to Norwood for blasting her “Moesha” co-star during a 1998 interview. “I think she’s very funny, very talented. I just feel like she wants to be in the position I’m in. People tell her, ‘You’re the reason why the show’s successful.’ And she’s told me that before. And she’s called me a b—- to my face. She said, ‘I’m the reason why the show is successful, b—-,’ in front of a lot of people. And I looked at her like, wow. I couldn’t say nothing [sic] about her because I wasn’t about to. She knows. She wakes up and looks at herself in the mirror and gets disgusted. I don’t,” Vaughn told Vibe at the time.
Then, in December 2015, it appeared the frenemies had made amends after Vaughn penned a lengthy post on Instagram praising Norwood. “I’m proud of you. For placing one foot in front of the other. For waking up every morning and simply giving it your best shot. For placing a premium on personal growth too. … I’m proud of you for being you and working to rise to the best you inside of you. You are an amazing being with amazing God-given capacity.”
Only, it appears during the last six months or so, the tide has turned — again. During a recent interview with HipHollywood, Vaughn quickly shut down speculation she’ll be rekindling her friendship with the disgruntled singer now or ever, for that matter. “No.” she said bluntly when asked if the cameras will be giving fans a front row seat to her repairing their bond. Considering Vaughn’s cold, blunt response, we anticipate more drama’s brewing.
