Why President Obama’s half-brother Malik Obama will vote for Donald Trump

In a strange political twist, President Barack Obama’s half-brother will not support the Democratic candidate in the upcoming presidential election. According to an interview conducted by the New York Post, Maiik Obama revealed that he has decided to vote for Donald Trump.

Malik currently resides in Kenya, but he is eligible to vote in Maryland. Malik’s decision stems from a recent feud with President Obama, his dislike for Hillary Clinton, and Clinton’s horrid record when it comes to political scandals.

Malik and President Obama were once close and even served as the best man at each other’s weddings. However, Malik and President Obama have had issues due to their disagreements. President Obama didn’t agree with Malik’s choice to support militant Islam such as Hamas. And Malik didn’t agree with the killing of his friend, Muammar Gaddafi. He was also against same-sex marriage and had an issue with President Obama’s stance on gay rights.

Malik is also unimpressed by Hillary Clinton and the numerous scandals that have tainted her campaign. Clinton appears to be the most logical choice for president considering Trump’s lack of knowledge, but she has run a flawed campaign. Trump issued a statement via Twitter regarding Malik’s decision. “Wow, President Obama’s brother, Malik, just announced that he is voting for me. Was probably treated badly by president — like everybody else,” Trump tweeted.

But Malik’s support of Trump seems to be more about family disagreements. When President Obama was elected, Malik made several trips to the White House. However, his support of Hamas caused White House officials to place distance between Malik and President Obama. Malik has also had issues with what he considers to be a lack of financial support from the president. He believes that President Obama hasn’t done enough for relatives in Kenya.

Overall, Malik’s support of Trump is either a jab at his half-brother, or the man doesn’t recognize why voting for Trump is a vote for incompetency.
