Atlanta’s definitive R&B showcase, RnB Untapped, has once again returned to local nightlife, hot spot Suite Lounge on July 26 for the 12th installment of the anticipated, monthly event. Founder Drew Sanders has created a unique platform for young soul and R&B acts to display their budding talents in front of city influencers, fans and industry professionals. This concert series featured performances by emerging artists such as Alycia Levels-Moore, Bluff City, Genra and sounds provided by live band, Urban Fuzion and DJ Blak Magic. The show was sponsored in part by rolling out magazine and Martell Cognac.
“The energy from the crowd was absolutely amazing. Sometimes it’s hard to feel things when singing but I could definitely feel the energy from the RnB Untapped crowd. I love this event because it gives us the opportunity to be ourselves and not feel like we have to conform,” said Alycia Levels-Moore.
“Being able to watch everyone’s reaction made me feel great. There was so much feeling and emotion in it and I loved that. This event is so important for R&B artists because it really gives us a chance to show people what we have and one thing that is cool about the showcase is that you never know who is going to be in the room watching. This has been the best opportunity,” said Genra.
“This is a great platform because R&B right now is making a comeback and we are just happy to be a part of it. To have a something that gives us a chance to showcase real singing is everything. It’s all about bringing that feeling back and that is what Bluff City is trying to do. We want to be one of the main groups contributing to the culture,” said Bluff City.
