Up-and-coming R&B group The Amours, aka sisters Jakiya Ayanna 21, and Shaina Aisha 17, bring sheer soul and a compelling sound to music with a follow-up visual to their new, feel-good single, “Smile.” Filled with eclectic harmonies, and a refreshing organic blend of R&B, bluegrass-soul, jazz, pop, and classical fusions, it’s no wonder the emerging artists have grabbed the attention of stars like Jazmine Sullivan.

“The Amours have the most angelic voices with a vocal blend only sisters can have,” Sullivan previously said. “Their sound is authentic, and I know they will go far.”

In a time when the world is hurting, The Amours are ready to continue to “smile and spread some love,” with the vibrant visual, directed by Briana Monet/Tyandre Alvin, and shot in Meridian Hill Park in NW Washington, D.C., showcasing their close knit bond during a beautiful day at the park, with cheerful children in tow.

When asked about the inspiration behind the visual, The Amours tell rolling out exclusively, “The visual was simply inspired by the magic in the music. When we started working on ‘Smile’ with our producer we wanted our fans to feel every note and lyric. So, when it came down to nailing the perfect concept for the visual the first thing we thought of was incorporating children. You can catch a child laughing and playing cheerfully at all times no matter what is going on around them. In the social media society that we live in nowadays, children are often exposed online in a negative light with videos of them using profanity or fighting, etc. The innocence of a child is precious and we wanted that to translate over in our visual.”

Up next, the rising songbirds are working on their album, which they hope to release this fall. In the meantime, the group, who previously received an invitation by the Children’s National Hospital where they dazzled Michelle Obama and the children with a live show-stopping musical performance, hope to work with Janelle Monae, Pharrell, Chaka Khan, Tank and Erykah Badu. “We think that we would create musical magic with these particular artists!” The Amours added.

In 2015, the pair stormed on the scene with their debut EP, “Rhythmic Love.” Check out the video below and tell us, are you feeling it? Sound off in the comment section below.
