Has Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s TV career come to a screeching halt?
Production sources on “Rob & Chyna” tell TMZ the network hasn’t ordered a second season just yet, as neither Kardashian or the mom-to-be will shoot together. As previously reported, the couple has been through the ringer in recent weeks. Though a new baby, possible wedding, and continued Kardashian family drama could mean huge ratings, execs are experiencing cold feet.
As previously reported, “Rob and Chyna are not in a great place,” a source told People earlier this week. “They are always up and down, but they went through a very rough patch as recently as last week. They weren’t speaking, or even texting.”
According to the source, “It doesn’t bode well for their relationship, especially considering the baby is coming so soon. They’re not broken up, but it’s not a healthy relationship at all.”
Meanwhile, another source tells ET, “If you ask Rob, he’ll say they’re having issues. If you ask Chyna, she’ll say they are not together. Their relationship is not in a good place right now but they are working on it.”
Apparently, the father-to-be “wasn’t ready” to be back in the spotlight but felt pressured to make it work and “get his life together” once Chyna got pregnant. “The stress led to major fights,” the source added. “Chyna and Rob are not in a good place right now, which then sets him into a downward spiral.”
Of course, this isn’t the first time the 29-year-old homebody has pulled the plug on his reality TV career. For two years, he stepped away from “The Keeping Up With the Kardashians” cameras, but momager Kris Jenner did her best to use his absence as a plot device.
While it would be a shame to see “Rob & Chyna’s” overnight success go down the drain. Sources tell TMZ, that they think Chyna is ratings gold and would work with her on a separate show, with or without her main squeeze. Of course, that means cutting the cord on the pair’s current series. What are your thoughts on a Blac Chyna spin-off? Sound off in the comment section below.
