Motor City Brewing Works
The Midtown Area, which is full of restaurants and small businesses, is where you’ll find Motor City Brewing Works. They have an awesome dining selection, like their mouthwatering pizzas. Unique options include the Maui Wowie pizza and the Sopla Fuego, topped with habanero sauce, Anejo queso, chorizo sausage, red onions, jalapeno peppers, and sour cream, cilantro and lime. They’re open till 1 a.m. on weekends.

Jolly Pumpkin Pizza and Brewery
Also in Midtown Detroit, in the same plaza as the popular store and cafe, Shinola, Jolly Pumpkin is another brewery and pizzeria and is actually across the street from Motor City Brewing Works. Their menu has items like truffle fries and sweet potato and kale pizza. Yes, pizza. They’ve also got one called Mary Did Have, which consists of pizza topped with olive oil, fresh ground lamb roasted with garlic, mint, pine nuts, feta, labneh, tomatoes, cucumber and zatar spice. They are also open until 1 a.m. on weekends.

Honest John’s
Another Midtown staple, Honest John’s serves everything from burgers to chicken and waffles to Cajun gumbo and is open until 2 a.m. every night. Breakfast dishes come with sides like turkey apple sausage, and they have options like the breakfast burrito, which can be found under their “Everything Else” menu.

Centaur Bar
Centaur, a popular bar on Park Avenue in the downtown area, offers a great menu in a sophisticated two-story venue. With mini burgers, crab cakes, lamb paninis, and blackened shrimp saute, their menu offers a wide selection. They also have delectable desserts, including cheesecake lollipops and creme brulée, as well as cheese, fruit and olive platters. Centaur is open until 2 a.m. every day.

Sweetwater Tavern
Open until 2 a.m. daily, Sweetwater Tavern is known for their wings and ribs. They also offer cod, burgers, with sides like collard greens and mac and cheese. They have several locations around Michigan.

Cutter’s is a sports bar that recently won Best Old School Burger in the city. Their menu includes homemade soups and baked potatoes as well as burgers. You can even place orders online. Cutter’s is open until 2 a.m. on weekends.
