Adrienne Bailon married Israel Houghton in a romantic Paris wedding.
“I genuinely just feel so blessed and grateful. I’ve honestly never been happier in my entire life,” Bailon later told People. “I’ve never felt what I feel right now. I can’t even describe what it is, but it’s such a peace mixed with total excitement.”
According to reports, the pair exchanged vows at the lavish Hotel Plaza Athénéel in Paris, just one day after celebrating at Ferdi, where the newlyweds first met nearly a decade ago. “I’m so glad we chose such an intimate group of who have shared in our journey and know our hearts and that I honestly feel comfortable crying in front of,” Bailon told People of her guest list, including fellow “The Real” co-hosts Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley. “I didn’t want to invite people I felt I had to put on a performance for. I wanted every moment to be genuine and really special and that’s what it is going to be.”
As previously reported by the media, Houghton popped the question in August, with a massive 8-carat emerald cut diamond sparkler, embraced by a halo of French-pave set diamonds set in platinum, valued north of $750. Though the couple’s big announcement drew some backlash, that didn’t dissuade the lovebirds from pursuing their dream wedding day.
“I’ve taken a giant leap of faith in asking her to share life with me forever and to give me a shot at getting it right this time… She has graciously granted my request… She said yes,” the gospel singer wrote via Instagram. “Thanks Be To God. Thank you @adriennebailon for graciously loving me.”
