It’s been nearly a month since I “got the keys” to the Bronze Fire-colored 2016 Lincoln MKX. It was nothing short of a great experience. This writer’s friends know how much I adore my eco-chic smart car, but it was nice to be able to be able to take my daughter 2.0, Paris Grace, to swim lessons and around the city in a vehicle with four doors and a hatch for a change.
The midsize luxury crossover SUV was fully loaded. My body melted in the premium leather seats. When I needed to decompress and relax shoulders stiff and lower back muscles tight from sitting at my desk writing all day, I could just activate the lumbar massage feature, heat or cool the cushiony multi-contour Front Seats with Active Motion and test a total of 22-way adjustable driver’s seat with 11 inflatable cushions until I found my desired comfort.
One of its many cool visual features is its sequential ambient lighting. My color was turquoise.
Unlike my eco-chic smart car, I didn’t have to get creative after I grocery shopped for our holiday dinner. The cargo offers 37.2 cubic feet of space and is expandable to 68.8 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.
It features an intuitive and voice-activated SYNC 3 color-coded touch-screen infotainment system that allows hands-free calling, 911 Assist®, and with SYNC, you can pause and rewind content on over 150 SiriusXM Satellite Radio channels as well as use your voice to control the climate.
