Benzino says beef good for Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj

As the former owner of the Source magazine, aka the Hip-Hop Bible and current owner of Hip Hop Weekly, Benzino is something like a hip-hop expert. So what does he think about the Remy Ma vs. Nicki Minaj rap beef? Besides his business acumen, Benzino has been known to spit a bit on the mic himself. (Who remembers his beef with Eminem years ago?)

Rolling out had the opportunity to visit Benzino at his restaurant, Benzino’s Crab Trap, in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. Besides enjoying some great Southern seafood we had the opportunity to talk about what he’s been up to since leaving “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” and opening a new business. Being an owner of one of hip-hop’s longest running magazines it was only right that we ask him about the current rap beef between Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma. Unlike most, Benzino chose to see the positive in the story for both female emcees, saying this is the first time that hip-hop’s energy has been focused on women. Benzino talked about why the beef is good for both women and gave us a lesson in rap battles straight from New York.
