Rapper Azealia Banks better keep her naked butt out of Ney York, because the NYPD is looking for her. Apparently, while Banks was literally showing her a— at the annual Paris Fashion Week, she missed a court date. The case stemmed from the infamous December 16, 2015, fight at the popular Manhattan nightspot Up&Down. She was denied entry into a VIP invite-only downstairs party because she did not have the proper hand stamp.
Despite her fame, the bouncers did not recognize her and told her she would have to go back to an upstairs area and get the stamp. The end result was an altercation in which Banks bit the breast of a female bouncer. She was handcuffed and charged with assault over the incident. A lawyer representing Banks appeared before Judge Kathryn Paek of New York Criminal Court and stated that his client was currently out of the country. He then read a statement from Banks that stated, “I can be back tomorrow if the court needs it.” The judge was not satisfied with the simple statement and issued a warrant for her arrest on the charge of failure-to-appear.
Banks made the major news by exposing her buttocks during Paris Fashion Week. Photos taken at the Moncler and Greg Lauren ‘Collide’ party during Paris Fashion Week showcased Banks in a pair of denim shorts with the backside noticeably missing. It seemed to be a failed counter to the red carpet photos of rapper Nicki Minaj who exposed her breast. Some say Nicki had the upper hand in allure, as opposed to Banks’ ratchet chic look. In any case, Banks may have to overstay her Visa to avoid immediate detention and arrest if she lands at a New York airport.
