Kenya Moore of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” can’t seem to win for losing.
Now that she has finally found a legitimate man, Moore may lose her gravy-train reality show gig that’s paying her six figures annually.
According to sources close to the show, Moore is facing an impossible situation – she’s being ordered to put her extremely reluctant husband on “Real Housewives of Atlanta” or she will face termination from the show.
Production sources tell us producers have told Moore the only way she’ll survive on the show is if they can chronicle her relationship with newlywed husband Marc Daly.
The problem for Moore is this: the former banker wants nothing to do with the show because he feels a certain way about how “RHOA” and Bravo TV portray Black men.
Moore reportedly has argued that the show hired her, not her husband. She adds that there is no mention of him in her contract, so she has no obligation to put him on air and his personal life on blast. What’s more, Moore told producers she’s waited 46 years for a loving relationship which she now has, and doesn’t want to jeopardize it.
The sources tell TMZ that Bravo and “RHOA” producers don’t care about her feelings, that when she came on the show, she knew what she was getting into. The producers have essentially given Moore an ultimatum: either get her husband Daly on the show or she’ll be phased out.
Moore’s unfolding predicament is exacerbated by the fact that, at 46, she wants to have a baby — very badly. She has been trying to get pregnant and is undergoing IVF treatments. The problem is, stress decreases the likelihood of success. Moore has let it be known that she is beyond stressed out with being put in this situation.
What do you think? Are “RHOA” producers wrong for demanding that Moore put her new husband on the show? Do you think “RHOA” portrays Black men in a negative light? Sound off in the comments section below.
