Things haven’t been going so well for Tyrese. He’s battling with his ex-wife, Norma Gibson, over custody of their 10-year-old daughter, Shayla. However, it looks like the actor/singer is finally catching a break this weekend because a judge recently granted him a day to spend with his daughter.
According to the reports, both Tyrese and Norma agreed to have the actor spend some time with his daughter this Sunday, Oct. 29. This will be the first time that Tyrese will have been allowed to see his daughter in two months. The judge sent out the order for a 6-hour visitation but only under the condition that their be a court-appointed monitor present.
Norma, who has a temporary restrianing order agianst Tyrese, agreed to modify her restraining order to allow the visit between daughter and father. However, sources say that she still plans to pursue a permanent restraining order against Tyrese and that the former couple will spend all of next week in court over the issue.
The news of Tyrese’s visitation win comes in the wake of the news that he was rushed to the hospital shortly after an explosive battle in court this past Thursday. Tyrese recently opened up about his medical scare and explained that the court battle has given him anxiety and that he physically wasn’t prepared for how trying the day was going to be in court.
“I went to the hospital because [of] anxiety. I was in the courtroom from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and I’ve never been on a trial ever. And they didn’t tell me to bring waters, food and Gatorade because you be in there the whole time. So when that s–t was over, I was feeling it,” Tyrese explained to TMZ.
Well, we hope that Tyrese and Gibson will eventually be able to make peace and co-parent in a healthy way for the sake of their daughter. In the meantime, what do you think of the news that Tyrese will be able to spend time with Shayla?
