Fast & Furious star Tyrese Gibson checked himself into a Los Angeles hospital Thursday night after experiencing bad chest pains, the media has learned.

TMZ has reported that the Baby Boy star checked himself into an emergency room shortly after an explosive day in court with his ex-wife, Norma Gibson, with whom he’s  immersed in a very public and nasty custody battle.

Folks who are close to Gibson told the entertainment publication that the singer went back to his hotel after leaving the courthouse and that’s when he told his entourage that he was having chest pains.

Gibson also complained of being dehydrated, so he decided to go to the ER.

Once at the hospital emergency room, the Fast & Furious actor began getting fluids for dehydration and is about to undergo some tests to find out why he’s having chest pains.

Tyrese left court wearing all-black, telling us today was a funeral for abuse allegations against him. As previously reported, Norma Gibson accused him of spying on her and claimed she was afraid of him at times.

Tyrese is also feeling the legal and cultural backlash he received when he flew a plane over his daughter’s school that basically said he loved her; and he also showered her with gifts. Reports stated that the stunt blew up in his face, as his daughter was freaked out by what her father had done, and that she had to spend the balance of the afternoon with educators in the principal’s office. The biological mother is seeking full custody of their child and has even taken out a restraining order against Tyrese, telling the courts that Tyrese scares her sometimes.

The episode that may have caused Tyrese his greatest media nightmare and public embarrassment, however, was his very public beef with fellow Fast & Furious star The Rock. Tyrese blames The Rock for delaying the next installment of the Fast & Furious franchise by a year when he chose to take his character from the film, Dobbs, and make a spin-off movie.

When The Rock apparently refused to answer Tyrese’s phone calls and texts to discuss the matter, Tyrese went public with the feud, via Instagram, and aired his grievances against The Rock for public consumption. That caused another round of vicious blowbacks from the public who believes Tyrese is whining too much in public.

Regardless of the origin of the chest pains, we wish the singer and actor a speedy recovery.
