You now know why Tyrese has been trippin’ and acting erratic and stuff for the past several weeks. It caused a great deal of concern among fans, friends and family. Tyrese claims it’s because of new meds he’s taking.

Some folks are gonna be a little skeptical because Tyrese has been “out there” for a lot longer than the “past several weeks.” But most will suspend judgement and give the Fast & Furious star the benefit of the doubt because of all the good will he’s accrued over the years.

Recent child custody and child abuse issues put Ty in a very depressive, sunken place where he began to break down and cry onscreen.

Specifically, he claims his online meltdown a couple of weeks ago was caused by the drug Rexulti, which is used to treat depression. It had an adverse effect on him, but he’s off of it now and getting back to normal.

The actor/singer says the meds made him do things over the past two months that affected a lot of people and he wants them to know he’s sorry.

Here’s more about Rexulti:

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) is an antipsychotic medication. It works by changing the actions of chemicals in the brain.

Rexulti is used to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia.

Rexulti is also used together with other medications to treat major depressive disorder in adults.
