Spike Lee has created a conversation with his latest production move. Lee has turned his 1986 film She’s Gotta Have It. into a full TV series for Netflix, which premiered on Thanksgiving Day. The series follows Brooklyn beauty Nola Darling (played by DeWanda Wise), who is dating three men with different personalities. Mars Blackmon (played by Anthony Ramos), Jamie Overstreet (played by Lyriq Bent), and Greer Childs (played by Cleo Anthony) are all fighting for supremacy of Nola’s attention in each episode. The show also tackles various issues in the Black community such as sexism, classism, and sexuality. The show has already received a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
