We are heading into the spring and summer months, which means more music is on the way. Recent rap album releases such as Culture 2 (Migos), Victory Lap (Nipsey Hussle) and PRhyme 2 (Royce Da 5’9 and DJ Premier) have kept us tuned in. We await contributions from Rich The Kid, Cardi B, and Tee Grizzley, all making their freshman debut with their first albums.
Rich The Kid – The World Is Yours
Rich The Kid is one of the hottest new artists to come out of Atlanta. His catchy single “New Freezer” (ft. Kendrick Lamar), which sparked the infamous neck-snapping dance, has put him on the map. He looks to carry this momentum through the release of his debut album, The World Is Yours. Features include Jeezy, Lil Wayne, Pusha T, and more.
Cardi B – Invasion of Privacy
Cardi B’s extraordinary rise to the top has kept the music world on notice since late 2016. Her record-breaking singles, “Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi,” and guest verses on G-Eazy’s “No Limit” and Bruno Mars’ “Finesse (Remix)” have fans itching for her debut album, Invasion of Privacy. Could there be a feature with Quavo? Maybe even Nicki Minaj? Only time will tell. But, with Atlantic Records and now Quality Control Management behind her, Invasion of Privacy will be a massive debut success for Cardi B on April 6.
Tee Grizzley – Activated
Detroit native Tee Grizzley has emerged as a superstar in music. His hit “First Day Out” became a huge smash in 2016 and now he’s ready to release his debut album, Activated. He recently did a collaboration project titled Bloodas with Lil Durk in late 2017. Expect to see frequent collaborators such as Young Jeezy, Lil Durk, Sada Baby and more.
