PHILADELPHIA — Enormously popular former first lady Michelle Obama was the host of this year’s College Signing Day event at esteemed Temple University.
Former President Barack Obama’s wife founded the event in 2014 as part of her Reach Higher initiative, which encourages high school students to pursue higher education.

Multiple celebrity friends and admirers of Obama came out for the event including Ciara, Bradley Cooper, Keke Palmer, Kelly Rowland, Zendaya, Janelle Monae, Robert DeNiro, Rebel Wilson, Jidenna, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and more.
On Wednesday, Obama personally talked to at least one student on Twitter, giving props to teen Destiny and saying, “College will open so many doors for you. Keep reaching higher and never give up!”
Model Karlie Kloss, who is dating Joshua Kushner, the brother of Donald Trump’s son-in-law and embattled adviser, Jared Kushner, was also front and center at the event.
