Gabrielle Union visits “The Real” and talks about her upcoming movie, Breaking In. The actress also explains the meaning behind her recent comment, “I don’t need a seat at the table” regarding Hollywood’s diversity.

ICYMI, while in Atlanta promoting her new movie, Breaking In, which hits theaters Mother’s Day weekend, the wife, mother, actress and producer appeared on TV One’s “Sister Circle” with Will Packer to promote the film and she let the Hollywood system know this:

“I don’t want a seat at the table. I actually don’t want to be at your table at all. I’m at this house over here and I’m employing people and everybody’s included.

“We’ve always had to be that. Half the time, on certain productions, if they don’t believe in diversity in the hair and makeup department, then we’re hair. We’re makeup. We’re wardrobe. You’ve got to make sure not only you know your lines, but everybody else knows their lines. Because you want it to be a success.

“So we’ve been multitasking as talent forever. Now we’re being given the opportunity to produce as well. For me, it’s just another day in the park but I’m also getting paid for it finally. Like Nicki Minaj said, ‘I been on!’ “
