Tisha Campbell-Martin, most famous for her role in the Martin Lawrence eponymous sitcom “Martin” in the 1990’s, is accusing her soon-to-be ex-husband, Duane Martin, of hiding large stacks of money during their marriage. And she is determined to get her cut of the stash.
Campbell-Martin, 49, who first came into considerable fame via the urban classic House Party movie franchise as well as School Daze, reportedly filed legal documents in Los Angeles County that Duane Martin was “hiding and misappropriating money” while they were married, TMZ reports.
While she did not divulge how much money she believes he clandestinely stockpiled without her knowledge, she indicated through her attorneys that it is a substantial amount.
Campbell-Martin has yet to indicate how she came into knowledge of her husband’s surreptitious appropriations.
The singer and mother of two who also starred in Eddie Murphy’s Boomerang and Another 48 HRS, is pleading with a judge to take action against Duane for hiding the funds.
The couple recently filed for divorce earlier this year after 20 years of marriage. She wants him to pay spousal support and also wants the judge to deny Duane Martin spousal support.
