Fans of embattled actress and comedian Mo’Nique say she may be the clear winner in the drama currently unfolding between Rock-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash and director Lee Daniels.

Dash recently put Daniels, director of the Academy Award-winning film Precious and creator of the popular TV series “Empire,” on full blast at a Diana Ross concert in an attempt to retrieve repayment of a $2 million Dash says Daniels owes him. This week, Dash filed a $5 million lawsuit against Daniels.

Some say the Dash-Daniels dispute is vindication for Mo’Nique, 50,  who has been vilified during a decade-long public relations war with Daniels, director Tyler Perry and billionaire mogul Oprah Winfrey. Mo’Nique accuses the trio of entertainment heavyweights of blackballing her in Hollywood and painting her as difficult to work with during and after her Oscar-winning performance in Precious. The comedian skewered the three recently during a profanity-laced stand-up routine and this week released a secretly recorded conversation between her and Perry, owner of Tyler Perry Studios, in an effort to show that she was not treated well during the making of the film.

Still, some wonder if the Dash-Daniels drama will completely exonerate Mo’Nique for her alleged behavior over the past 10 years, which also includes her battle with Netflix, which offered the comedian a $500,000 payday that she subsequently spurned because she felt she was low-balled by the media company compared to what it pays other entertainers.

Many of Mo’Nique’s fans took to Twitter to say they believe their queen of comedy should be seen in a new, more positive light as a result of the Dash lawsuit against her adversary, Daniels. Check out a sampling of their tweets below:
