Travis Scott has been sharing $100,000 among his fans.
The 26-year-old rapper, who has 6-month-old daughter Stormi Webster with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, has celebrated the release of his latest album “Astroworld” by treating his 3.92 million Twitter followers with random sums of money, simply for tweeting their favorite lyrics from the record and sharing their cash tag.
The “Sicko Mode” hitmaker said he decided to splash the cash on his fandom because he knows it’s “hard for the kids.”
On Tuesday, August 14, he announced: “SO I KNOW ITS HARD FOR THE KIDS SO I DECIDED TO UNLOAD MY BANK ACCOUNT ON U GUYS. IM BUSTING DOWN $100,000 AND GIVING AWAY TO ANY FANS THAT CAN TWEET ME THERE CASH TAG WITH LYRICS FROM ASTRO. GANG !! (sic)”
Several of his followers have taken to the micro-blogging site to share the various amounts they received, ranging anywhere from between $50 and $1,000.
Within five hours of announcing the cash giveaway, Travis had spent $25,000 of his limit.
He tweeted: “OK I GOT 75K LEFT. SEND YOUR CASH TAG AND TWEET #ASTROWORLD TO BE NEXT!! (sic)”
Meanwhile, Travis recently shared his music video for his latest single “Stop Trying To Be God,” which features his partner Kylie as the Virgin Mary.
As well as the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star, there are also cameos from music stars James Blake, Kid Cudi and Stevie Wonder.
Part of the video sees Kylie, 20, play the religious figure cradling the rapper after he was set on fire and, before the visuals end, Kylie appears wearing a mesh dress and glowing all gold while mothering a lamb and mouthing the song title.
On the album’s first track, “Stargazing,” Travis included a reference to the lip kit guru and their whirlwind romance, rapping: “I was always high up on the lean, then this girl came here to save my life, look up to the sky, down on my knees, out of nowhere, you came here to stay the night.”
Earlier this month, Kylie and Travis celebrated the release of Astroworld by attending the popular Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago.
Via her Instagram account, Kylie said: “You didn’t have to go this hard baby. Astroworld just dropped and it’s the craziest ride of my life. (sic)”
Astroworld is Travis’s third studio album since 2016’s LP Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight.
