After several months of being overwhelmed with the Cardi B-Offset divorce drama, coupled with unannounced police raids at his home, seeing his daughter held at gunpoint by federal agents and having his business negatively impacted, rapper Offset’s father finally cracked and leaked the scorchingly hot contents of his soul onto Facebook.

Michael Woodward, the father of controversial rapper Offset, 27, ripped into his daughter-in-law Cardi B without relent on his fraternity’s Facebook page in an epic rant that has gone viral globally. Woodward, who goes by the nickname Tony Pla, according to Ebony.com and Complex, described the divorce scandal as a “never-ending drama session. It’s a tic for tack, mudslinging, situation fueled by jealousy, envy, insecurities, psychological issues, drugs, etc.”

Woodward posted his comments in the Facebook group for the brothers of the Alpha Phi Alpha and Alpha Kappa Alpha fraternities. “Right now, my family is going through a tumultuous time,” he wrote. “What you see in the media is only the tip of the iceberg. Social media is a powerful tool, but certainly no place for family situations; however, our youth, specifically my son’s wife doesn’t understand that. She seems to want to take everything to social media without regard to the devastation it has on others, past present and future or specifically what it does to the other children.”

Woodward, who owns a property management and renovation company, said he’s incensed at the worldwide denunciation of his son. Furthermore, he said Offset marrying a “hot-headed female” like Cardi B exacerbated an already volatile situation.

“People do and say hurtful things about my family members daily; specifically my child. While he ain’t perfect, he is mine and as a parent, I have a duty to protect him,” Woodward penned according to Ebony.com and Complex magazine.

“Right now, I cannot do that. Like most young adults, he doesn’t always do what he’s advised to do but we are talking about a 25-year-old with an unlimited supply of money, women chasing him, people at his disposal, etc. Couple that with a hot-headed female that thrives off of social media attention and is on the same financial level as/above him and it’s a recipe for disaster.

“Psychological issues, depression and drugs that make the situation worse,” Woodward continued in a rant that was screen-captured by the aforementioned media outlets. “You all do not know how that effects the rest of the family from late night phone calls, emergency travel, news, media, etc. I did not sign up for this. Everything I do and say is scrutinized, everyone wants a favor to get close to him or Cardi.”

The father also recalls a horrifying episode where his home was raided by federal agents and his daughter came home to a blocked-off street where agents were waiting with guns drawn.

Woodward also bitterly recounts what happened to the family when Cardi, 26, released the Instagram video in which she declared she was divorcing Offset. Woodward said his phone blew up nonstop and that she released that first pic of baby Kulture to “spite” his son.

“Last week when Cardi posted the divorce video I could not get any work done at work as the phone calls, texts, DMs, etc were non stop. She released the baby picture out of spite. It was supposed to come out in his album. She basically screwed my whole family over that vowed not to release pictures to social media. My whole family is in an uproar right now and I can’t fix it. […] I would not wish this on anyone.”

That is a lot to chew on. What do you make of Offset’s dad allegedly unloading on Cardi B like that? And do you believe he was out of line to comment on this explosive situation, and do you think this will make things worse or better?
