Despite the fact that there are only a handful of in-game female analysts, there are even fewer female play-by-play broadcasters. In a Washington Wizards-Detroit Pistons preseason game in October, McPeak became the first woman in three decades to do play-by-play for an NBA game. She is also the first and only woman play-by-play broadcaster in the NBA G-League, where she currently calls games for the Capital City Go-Go, the affiliate for the Wizards.
