Kanye West continues to find himself in hot water every time he opens his mouth. The embattled rapper allegedly defended R. Kelly during his Sunday Service event with Tony Williams, Kid Cudi, and 070 Shake, according to TMZ.
During the event on Jan. 13, 2019, Kanye spoke about R. Kelly and Michael Jackson while Kris Jenner streamed on her Instagram.
“They just gonna pull up full documentaries on him,” Kanye said, reportedly in reference to the “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary. “Then they gonna come with the Michael [Jackson] documentary. We can all enjoy all their music all we want. I thought I wasn’t going to go there today. If we’re gonna tear down artists, let’s go ahead and take [Leonardo] da Vinci out the Louvre. Let’s take down all the art.”
Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, came to his defense.
“I’m going to nip this in the bud right now,” Kardashian said in a Twitter post. “Kanye was speaking about his own experience of everyone [being] quick to say they are canceling him because of differences in opinion and not being perfect. The analogies were in context to his own experiences, not defending anyone else.”
Kanye, who worked with fellow Chicago native R. Kelly in 2012 on the G.O.O.D. Music compilation album Cruel Summer, has yet to clarify his statement.

@kanyewest Don’t even compare that pedo R Kelly to Michael Jackson, all right? They are nothing alike. Kelly is obsessed with sex, more than willing to violate others for it. MJ was a sweet, respectful person who [was] ruined by brutally false allegations because of greed and jealousy

Hey everyone, @kanyewest said it’s ok to listen to child loving, pissing on teenage girls, disgusting pedophile R. Kelly… he says it’s ok and his music is ok to still listen to. #RKelly #RKellyIsOverParty #KanyeWest #Kanye
