When the NFL announced that pop band Maroon 5 would be performing the halftime show for Super Bowl LIII, the news was met with a collective shrug. Now that their performance is officially in the books, could this go down as one of the worst Super Bowl performances of all time? Or could the presence of Travis Scott and Big Boi save the day?
The early results seem to be skewing in the direction of the former.

Maroon 5 had the messiest, most random, least cohesive, and anticlimactic halftime show ever. #SuperBowl pic.twitter.com/UQ8bXPBsxG

One of the few bright spots was the sight of Big Boi representing for the city of Atlanta (even if his performance did cause some initial anguish for the rap icon.)
Big Boi saying ATL HO on live TV during the Super Bowl is the highlight of the night.
