Tekashi 6ix9ine believes that he will be out of jail soon. The rapper has reportedly come up with a plan with his legal team that will get him out of jail in September 2019, according to TMZ.
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s attorney, Dawn Florio, believes that if the other co-defendants strike plea deals and the trial is canceled, they’ll ask a judge to allow 6ix9ine to be released due to time served.
His freedom would come after fulfilling his obligations under the cooperation agreement that he made with the FBI.
According to a court transcript, federal prosecutors could ask for the rapper’s sentence to be suspended in exchange for his testimony.
If he’s released, Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, will enter the witness protection program.
Tekashi 6ix9ine was initially facing 47 years in prison after being indicted in November 2018. The rapper was connected to the Nine Trey gang, which is a “violent” sect of the Bloods.
