DaBaby is making a name for himself as a young rapper who has built a significant following through his music. However, the North Carolina-based emcee has faced issues outside of rap that has caused trouble.
On May 26, DaBaby was allegedly being bullied by rival rapper Cam Coldhearted while they were both shopping at the Luis Vuitton store in Charlotte. After a few words were exchanged, the two began fighting.
Both rappers used social media to film their interaction. Cam appeared to have started the argument by filming himself dissing DaBaby and calling him a b—.
In another video, from DaBaby’s point of view, Cam throws a punch. DaBaby strikes back as his phone falls to the floor. Moments later, Cam appears on the floor with a bloody nose and his pants around his ankles. DaBaby shows Cam in distress and yells, “I’m the truth, knocked him out dolo!”
DaBaby’s caption on Instagram reads, “When bullying Baby on the internet goes wrong.”
However, Cam posted another video and says that he was jumped by DaBaby and another man.
Authorities have yet to say if any charges will be filed.
DaBaby is best known for his song “Suge” which currently has over 40 million streams on Spotify.
