A native of Nassau, Bahamas, Lars Minns is currently the head of human resources for Mercedes-Benz, USA. He leads the organization in designing, implementing, and executing HR strategies that directly align with the company’s strategic objectives for the sales, marketing and distribution of passenger cars in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Rolling out had the opportunity to sit down with Minns to discuss his career, life skills and legacy.


What inspires you to show up to work every day?


The chance to have a lasting impact on my organization and to deliver on the promise to revolutionize the practice of HR.

Legal, health care [and] sports management

Share why lifelong learning is important to you. 

Fundamentally, graduation exercises are referred to as commencement, thus the beginning of the real learning. There really is no other way to get and stay ahead and being serious about learning and making it a lifelong commitment.

What does community success mean to you?

Ensuring every child in our communities of greatest need have the chance to unlock themselves from their current conditions. Helping children experience the power of the written word through the magic of reading will always be the gateway to truly changing their lives.

What is your favorite vacation spot.
