Luster’s Pink has been a hair care staple for generations due to their innovative products and ability to not only lead but stay ahead of hair trends. Over 60 years later, they reminded us of why they continue to maintain solid footing in the beauty industry with the launch of their new Luster’s Pink Shea Butter Coconut Oil line that’s been the rave of social media.
Rolling out partnered with Luster’s Pink to support their sold-out Luster’s Pink Shea Butter Coconut Oil launch “Haute Pink” featuring Grammy Award-winning songstress Elle Varner at Per.so.na. Chicago. Guests enjoyed Remy Martin-sponsored samples, massages, and and swag bags containing full-sized products from the new Luster Pink Shea Butter Coconut Oil line. A notable highlight of the night was the live photo studio where attendees had their pictures taken by Parrish Lewis, the phenomenal photographer for hit shows “The Chi” and “Chicago PD,” in addition to the ongoing pink carpet photos by the man who knows everyone’s perfect angle, Maseo Photo.
Always keeping healthy hair care in mind and never missing a moment to teach, Haute Pink also showcased a panel hosted by Resa B. Luster, featuring Shani Crow, Tisa Braids and Amyna Love who all shared a wealth of information on the art of beautiful hair.
Amyna Love and Kiara Lanier were also selected to open the show for the lovely Elle Varner. The duo wowed the crowd with pure, raw, unquestionable talent. Love’s rendition of Ari Lennox’s popular song “Shea Butter Baby” was a crowd favorite. Lanier followed with a cover of 702’s “I Still Love You,” and also performed her newest single “Rum Chatta.” The infectious energy of the music quickly spread throughout the crowd.
The audience was gassed up and ready to take another musical flight by the time Elle Varner hit the stage dressed pretty in pink for her long-awaited performance. She performed “Pour Me” and “Kinda Love” from her newest album Elevation with the smooth, sultry vocals that were sorely missed during her hiatus from the music scene. Varner’s performance turned into a sing-along once she started belting the timeless hit “Refill” because the crowd was singing along with her like it was their own.
Luster’s Pink also presented Rising Star Awards to Lanier and Love, in addition to Chicago’s spoken word sensation Erica Terry.
Haute Pink is the culmination of Luster’s Pink rich history combined with a modern and fun new twist, where all attendees were made to feel like a member of Luster’s family. Be on the lookout for future Luster’s Pink events … it’s an experience you don’t want to miss!
