He said: “I don’t think my career would’ve been what it was without [Dr. Dre and Eminem’s] support. Dre is a mentor for the whole squad. He was a mentor for the whole squad because he could guide us in different ways without even him knowing it.”
Fifty called the honor a lifetime achievement award.
“I look at this like a lifetime achievement award,” he said. “It’s cool. They’ll give me more. I know they’ll give me lifetime achievement award because I’m not done, you know what I’m saying? So I’ll be back, like, they got to save space for me down the street.”
He was joined by his girlfriend Jamira Haines, Coming 2 America star Michael Blackson, and “Power” actor Joseph Sikora at the ceremony.
The star is located near the W Hollywood Hotel at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. 50 Cent becomes the 2,686th member to join the famous street.
“Power“ will air the last episode of its sixth and final season on Sunday, Feb. 2. 50 Cent, who is the executive producer of the new ABC drama “For Life,” which will premiere on Feb. 11.
