What was the best advice that Larenz Tate gave you?
The best thing that he’s told me is to stay true to myself and focus on the work.
What are some skills that translate across both acting and dancing?
Being a dancer has informed my acting a lot when it comes to being comfortable in my body. As an actor, you have to not only say your lines but hit marks, which in dance terms is called staging or choreography. So I think that is one of the strengths that I’ve taken from dance as well as being able to make adjustments very quickly.
What’s next for you?
I’m on a new TV show on the CW called “Katy Keen,” that comes on Thursday at 8 p.m. I play Didi, a recurring character on the show. I’m also working on my own TV pilot.
