What lessons in life has he instilled?
You have to stay focused and pursue your dreams. They’re going to be people and haters that have something to say, and if you allow them into your mindset and into your space, then you’re not going to be able to perform. But if you stay focused and you’re constantly pursuing your dream, then that’s the ultimate goal. And once you achieve that, there’s nothing that anyone can do to take that away from you. So, that’s definitely something that he’s drilled into me as well.
What are your favorite Air Jordan sneakers of all time?
It’s hard, but I think I wear my Air Jordan 1s and Air Jordan 11s. I probably have 200 to 300 pairs of the Air Jordan 1s alone, and then Air Jordan 11s are right behind it.
What are your thoughts about the sneaker culture that your father helped to create?
It’s exciting to actually be a part of [sneaker culture], to hear from fans and friends that just love the sneakers and to know that my father helped to create it. I definitely go out there and like to hear fans of the sneakers share their stories.
