Janice Davis, Ph.D., of Howard University shares warning signs, coping methods

Many people are unable to celebrate graduations, proms and weddings right now. What coping mechanisms do you suggest?

I think we’re going to have to take some time to play. We’re going to have to be able to enjoy each other’s company. You’re going to have to begin to talk to other people, but you also have to take time for yourself and decide how you can do that. Some people pray or meditate, and others take bubble baths and read books. Whatever your moment is, you need to be able to experience it so that you have time to rest.
