Larry C. Tripplett explains how NBMOA aids African American McDonald’s owners

What would you say are the top three characteristics a person needs to have is they want to become a  successful McDonald’s owner?

You have to make sure that your credit is clean. When McDonald’s looks at you, they’re going to look at a person who has demonstrated that they know how to handle money.

The second thing that they’re going to look at is your intestinal fortitude. Are you willing to sacrifice the kind of time and effort that you’re going to have to put in to this business? This isn’t an absentee business. You’ve got to get down and work in this business.

The third thing that they’re looking at is someone who is going to be engaged and committed to their community and who’s going to represent the brand in an outstanding way.
