What Black voters should take away from Charlamagne’s exchange with Joe Biden

In 2017, the current administration eliminated the Lifeline program, which provided phone and internet service to minorities, families with low incomes, and senior citizens. In 2020, the current administration proposed to roll back the 2015 Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing program, which aimed to combat segregation and racial disparities in housing policy.

In terms of COVID-19, the gross incompetence by America’s leadership reveals why voting in the 2020 presidential election is so vital.


It’s important for the Black community to hold leaders accountable and to put pressure on all political parties. However, the Black community and the entire nation cannot afford to sit on the sidelines on Election Day out of spite.

In particular, Black people will suffer the most if Biden’s mishap leads to another four years of chaotic and inadequate leadership.
