Five Small Ways to #Change the World
- Feed the homeless. Stop internalizing it and thinking that everybody that is homeless is on drugs or alcohol. But what if they are? How would you like it if you were treated based on your mistakes? Give from your heart and stop counting the coins that you handed over.
- Pay it forward. When you stop at your favorite drive-thru, pay for the meal of the person behind you. Your heart will love the feeling of giving.
- Random act of kindness. I know we live in a world where we mind our business. ‘You don’t look at me and I won’t look at you’. Do it differently today. Speak first and genuinely smile at a total stranger.
- Speak up and out. Injustice is all around us, pimp-slapping us on both cheeks. When you see s— that ain’t right, find a platform and speak out about it. Black lives matter but also all lives matter.
- Volunteer. Social distancing has forced this item to be last. When the storm is over, find an organization and give your time, even if it’s only a couple of hours a month.
Today is your chance to be the force of change.
