When creating the look for grooms, are there certain patterns and cuts that work better with certain body types?
I wouldn’t say body types, but some men may not think they can pull off certain things, and if you don’t think you can pull it off, you won’t. Some men are intimidated by patterns or flowers, etc., but as long as a suit is tailored to fit your body and you have the attitude to pull it off, size or body type doesn’t mean you can’t be fly.
You’ve styled numerous A-listers and influencers, including Will Packer and 2 Chainz. What is it about your designs that attracts them to the Miguel Wilson Collection?
Besides excellent customer service, my signature style leans toward a European-style cut fused with a little Miguel Wilson flavor. When clients come into our stores, they have to pass [by stores like] Gucci, Tom Ford, Louis Vuitton, etc., so it’s important to make sure that we are offering service and quality equal to, if not better than, the lines we are surrounded by, and that’s what we do.
