‘Ready to Love’ recap: Three’s a crowd with your ex

On the latest episode, castmates determined believe Bryan, a behavioral therapist, and Symone, an attorney, weren’t ready for love. The men felt Symone hadn’t opened up early enough, while others felt she was too aggressive with her approach. Edwin, a chef and former veteran, claimed Symone made him feel as if he was on the stand and she was the prosecuting attorney.

“Symone was asking the right questions, I believe it was just the delivery and the timing,” Hannah said. “It’s important to be intentional when dating, so I want to point out that she had the right idea. It’s important to be self-aware and pay attention to how your date is responding to your questions and not just keep firing off if they seem uncomfortable.”

On the other hand, the female cast members felt Bryan struggled with immaturity and not being a good listener. “There is a difference between hearing and active listening,” Hannah explained.  “If you are listening to respond or with a response prepared, you aren’t actively listening.”

Five men and five women remain on the show, committed to the process of finding true love. You can watch “Ready to Love” every Friday at 9 p.m. EST on OWN.
