‘Ready to Love’ recap: Vulnerability is the key to successful dating

Vulnerability is something that hasn’t come easy for Denice, 38, a track and field coach. She acknowledged not being completely vulnerable with a man in almost 20 years.

“I stopped because I didn’t feel good about myself and I needed to work on me, she said.

Like many single women, Denice feels she has a lot of love to give if given an opportunity. Earlier in the season, Denice received criticism from cast members and Black Twitter because of insensitive comments on intra racial issues and showing signs of jealousy. Since being called out, Denice has taken accountability for her issues and took the vulnerability challenge as an opportunity to explain her position, and hopefully, win over the heart of her top pick.

Whether this newfound honesty and taking the chance to be vulnerable will pay off for Denice, Jay or the other singles remains to be seen. Keep up with the “Ready to Love” singles every Friday night on OWN at 9 p.m. EST. Watch the recap after the show on rolling out‘s Facebook page immediately following the show at 10 p.m. EST.
