Be The Match® intern Kennedi Lawson shares the joy she’s found in saving lives

What are two reasons HBCU students should join the Be The Match Registry?

Well, the first reason is because if you step foot on any HBCU campus, you’re going to find advocacy activism. Everywhere you go, there’s always going to be a group of people fighting for what they believe in, trying to stand up [against] something they think is wrong. To me, Black students or Black HBCU students have an obligation and responsibility to join the registry because we advocate for everything else that we want. So, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t join the registry.

The second reason is because there’s no better feeling than feeling like you helped save a life. You can’t match that type of joy to know that you might have kept somebody alive.
