How do you define your style?
Shout-out to B-Dhat in North Carolina, but he probably described my style the best. I deejayed for one of his shows during the pandemic on Instagram Live, and he simply called me a “dog!” Aggressive, lively and entertaining.
What’s your process for selecting a song to play during your sets or at a gig?
I have to like it first. I’ll look at my email, see if I received any new music. I listen to music on Spotify, YouTube, AudioMack and TikTok. I’ll test out which records I really like either at a club, in mixes on my Mixcloud page, or radio, and if I get a positive response, I’ll continue to push it. It’s not a perfect system, but it works for me.
